About Us

The Magic Valley Prison Aftercare was established 14 years ago after seeing the need of men and women with no safe and drug free place to go after prison. Many inmates had visited with our jail chaplains and had made attempts to turn their lives around but could not do so by having to go back into old environments. The peer pressure there would soon help them to fall back into old addictions and poor lifestyle choices.

We started with the Risen and Serenity Homes and now have added the Lazarus to help men and women recover. We offer social, emotional, spiritual, and job seeking help to those Loopcoming out of prison. We want to help those who are really serious about change and who are done with a destructive lifestyle.

We are Christian toned houses but non Christians may apply if they will abide by and respect the house rules, set goals for themselves and follow through on becoming productive citizens. The homes have helped many residents recover over the years. We now have college graduates, factory managers, and steadily employed ex-residents scattered over the Magic Valley. More importantly, we have seen men and women reunited with their children and families.
